Director's Note from Jake Jaxson: "Why is it taking so long?" That is the one question that seemed to me over the last year, in regard to The Stillest Hour. My answer was always the same, "Because it's not done." I did not mean to be flippant, or create unnecessary delay- I was still trying to figure it out. I love making these movies. I enjoy sexual storytelling, but more and more they have become a challenge in that there are expectations that I place on both process and the performers- trying hard not to repeat myself and yet still creating a challenge that inspires everyone working on the project and everyone watching. In turn, the performers also have expectations of me, the process, and ultimately the final product. And with this project, I've had the pleasure of working with three incredible performers: Will Wikle, Levi Karter and Colby Keller, and they were all so wiling to give their full emotional attention and energy into this film. That alone caused me to take my time and make sure this was the best it could be. Time is a funny thing. So often we want more of it, yet often we are wishing it would move quicker. And sometimes I just wish it would stop, if just for a moment, so that I could have the luxury of changing or tweaking that one moment I regret, or try to do it differently (don't we all.) But that is what wishful thinking and daydreams are made of. As I get older, I find the time that is most important is Now. It is a powerful place to be, yet how often are we thinking about past regrets, or hoping, or fearing what the future will bring- rather than be present to what is happening Now. As we go into the holidays and the year comes to an end, moments designed for reflection and looking ahead, be sure to take your time and enjoy all that is in front of you now. And if you don't like what is your now, change it. Because time will not stop or slow down for us, it will not bend or change, but we can and that is an awesome power that should be celebrated and rejoiced. I hope you all enjoy Part One of The Stillest Hour and don't worry, part two will be out shortly. Love always, Jake Jaxson Description: From award-winning director Jake Jaxson comes The Stillest Hour, a twisted new take on the psychosexual thriller that explores the power of perception and reality. Norman (Will Wikle) is a highly committed psychotherapist in New York City whose life, whether he knows it or not, has been reduced to a cyclical pattern of idealistic perfection and strict personal routines. His professionalism and obsessive habits are soon tested when one of his clients, a headstrong and independent artist (Colby Keller) details -- through series of sexually provocative sessions -- a budding relationship with an impressionable millennial (Levi Karter) who appears to be stalking him. When Norman becomes captivated by this power play, the tables are flipped as the boy soon becomes involved in the personal lives of both men. Presented in two parts, The Stillest Hour's first act features a stunning and absolutely explosive sex scene between Colby Keller and Levi Karter, easily two of the best known porn performers working today. Director Jake Jaxson perfectly captures the interplay of Keller's intimidating stature next to the small and subtle Karter, expertly crafting the build-up to an all-too-real mind fuck before either of the two even touch one another. Beautifully shot by Rj Sebastian, the connection here is intense, irresistible, and committed with both performers channeling a complicated yet intense and lustful relationship as they give, take, and then devour each other's bodies for the first time. And for fans holding out to see what Will Wikle has to show us in his porn debut... You just might get a little taste of what's to come!
