"Shawty Is a 10" (also known uncensored as "Shawty Is Da Shit") is the debut single by American singer, songwriter and record producer The-Dream. It was the first single released for his debut studio album, Love/Hate. The song was released by Def Jam Recordings, whose label-heads signed The-Dream following the success of the single he wrote for their artist Rihanna — "Umbrella". The track contains a guest verse from labelmate Fabolous, while songwriting and production handled by The-Dream alongside longtime collaborator Carlos McKinney.
