When Ariel accepted the position of Restrained Elegance resident slavegirl in training, we wanted to come up with a series of elegant, sexy and submissive poses, postures and positions for her to learn. We intended them as a mixture of ways in which she could be tied up and stress positions which were inherently hard to hold but which looked gorgeous.
I'd vaguely remembered that the John Norman Gor books had a bunch of slave positions, but not having read them for twenty years I decided to work on our own lexicon of poses and positions first. When I did finally go to look up the Gorean ones on the web I was surprised by how few there actually were, and how simple most of them seemed to be. I think I prefer our version!

Hannah had never been suspended before, and she wasn't sure she could actually cope with it. So Chanta and I devised a mean little half-way house suspension. With her arms extended along a bamboo pole and one leg tied up, Hannah could stay on the tips of her toes... or we could just winch her a little higher and give her her first ever taste of a true suspension...

This was the last set we did at the first Restrained Elegance Bondage Photo Tutorial. Everyone had been playing 'tease Hywel' all day, especially about my barefoot fetish... I can't imagine where such a disrespectful attitude could have come from. The only person who was giving a lead in the cheekiness stakes was Ariel (as usual....) but I knew her punishment would come soon enough.
No, Frank's idea was cute, sexy and fun... and calculated to wind Hywel up ever-so-slightly. And did Ariel play up to it? Did she positively relish posing in those horrible rainbow stripy socks? Of course she did! Bah. And probably Humbug, to boot!
The lighting we used here is one of my classic patterns, invented in the days where I couldn't have afforded a proper white infinity cove even if I'd know what one was. The soft, even but directional lighting comes mostly from lights behind the white cloth backdrop, fired through the cloth. You can balance that with frontal lighting from a single source like an umbrella to get good modelling on the face but hardly a hint of shadows.
OK, I admit it. Ariel did look stunning when the socks were used to put her in a tight hogtie and to gag her!
